Due to the positive feedback I received on the mnemonics episodes, I created a for-sale product: a PDF containing mnemonic devices covering almost every bold term you’ll find in the biology chapter of an intro psychology textbook. The document contains:
- Crazy Images: 34 full color wacky images that will stick in your head long enough to do well on a test, and probably for a long time after that.
- Acronyms: 6 acronyms to help you answer questions like, "Which of the following is NOT part of the limbic system?". These acronyms are not dull ones like "Every Good Boy Does Fine" (though they’re just as memorable). Pavlov’s dogs revolt!
- Concept Maps: if you’re a fan of The Psych Files then you know I just love concept maps. I couldn’t help it - I had to throw in 5 concept maps. These maps will help you get the big picture.
- Flashcards: each mnemonic contains a brief description of the role of that body part (ex: "The pineal gland is responsible for….."). I’ve also formatted the PDF so you can cut out each of the 34 images and use them as flashcards to study from.
You’ll have fun with these mnemonic images. I had fun making them. This PDF represents hundreds of hours of crafting crazy ideas into crazy memorable images. I am asking for a small payment: you can purchase and immediately download this PDF for only $4.99. I know students are strapped for cash, so if you’re struggling to remember all those parts of the brain and the neuron, I think you’ll find this money well spent.
